LPM Limassol located in Parklane, hotels, 5-star Luxury Collection Resort and Spa is looking to hire a Commis Chef.

 

Position Overview

 

A Commis Chef will be supporting the chef de partie in the kitchen. The main responsibilities will include cooking, cleaning, delivery, and other support duties as instructed by the chef de partie. Will ensure that a kitchen’s operations run smoothly.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Accurately measuring meal ingredients for the Chef de Partie.

Preparing meal ingredients, which includes seasoning of different meats as well as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits.

Preparing basic salads and sauces as directed by the Chef de Partie.

Receiving deliveries and verifying that all ordered items have been delivered and are of good quality.

Taking inventory of restaurant supplies and notifying the supervisor of low or depleted supplies.

Discarding all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers.

Performing basic cleaning duties and ensuring that workstations are properly sanitized.

Plating and presenting meal items as per the Chef de Partie’s instructions.

 

 

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Culinary arts.

At least three years of experience working in a similar role or in a kitchen setting.

Experience in managing entry level employees.

Excellent Knowledge of English Language.

Highly effective communication and organizational Skills.

Deep knowledge of food industry and trends.

Goof knowledge of HACCP procedures.

Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification.

Customer-centric.
