Position Overview

The food and beverage supervisor must ensure that all customers receive excellent service while also making certain that operations run smoothly. He/She has to interact with customers regularly, taking orders, filling orders, and seeing to other requests that customers might have. Food and beverage supervisor is also responsible for supervising fellow food and beverage employees, making sure that all related duties are properly executed and addressing potential issues that may arise.

Key responsibilities

Ø  Supervise all staff members in their duties, encourage and provide constructive feedback as necessary

Ø  Ensure the work areas are clean and well maintained, inspect table, set ups and follow the opening and closing procedures.

Ø  Maintain the service standards as per the Luxury Collection.

Ø  To monitor staff daily, ensuring that staff is well groomed.

Ø  Follow health and safety regulations.

Ø  Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining, motivating and coaching associates; serve as a role model with focus on Fair Treatment.

Ø  Ensure guests are billed and settlement obtained for all services rendered as per the revenue control policy.

Ø  Responsible for the inventory of all service equipment, cutlery, crockery, and glassware.

Ø  High involvement in conducting trainings that impacts guest satisfaction, standards, revenue generation (upselling) and associate satisfaction.

Ø  Involvement in menu engineering, promotional activities and best practices.

 

Requirements

Ø  Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ø  Culinary school diploma or degree in food service management or related field

Ø  Minimum of 3 years’ experience as F&B supervisor in hotel industry

Ø  Food safety certification will be considered an advantage

Ø  Flexible availability including weekends

Ø  Proven food and beverage management experience

Ø  Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)

Ø  Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently

Ø  Mastery in delegating multiple tasks

Ø  Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices

Ø  Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets

Ø  Guest-oriented and service-minded
