The primary role of the Head of Content is to assist the Marketing Manager in the day-to-day running of the Kanika Hotels & Resorts marketing operations in the field of content creation.

The Head of Content is responsible for supporting the marketing operations in the fields of social media, brand development, website development, hospitality loyalty program, business development and public relations by creating specialized and highly creative content, assets and collaterals that are coherent with Kanika Hotels & Resorts brand guidelines.

To that end, the Head of Content is responsible for developing creative and unique digital and non-digital content that encompasses the six attributes of great content: attractive, discoverable, consumable, understandable, shareable and actionable.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

The Head of Content is to establish an effective and fruitful collaboration with all colleagues in the commercial department and each Kanika hotel as well as with all Kanika hotels external trading associates to perform the above role, which involves the following duties and responsibilities:

 

§  Responsible for creating targeted and inspiring content based on the Kanika Hotels & Resorts target audience personas to support the Online Communities initiatives to develop engaging and sharable social media stories to meet or exceed the annual online communities engagement and conversion targets

§  Responsible for creating targeted content, assets, and collateral to support the annual marketing initiatives for the promotion and development of the Hospitality Loyalty Club to meet or exceed the annual hospitality club development targets

§  Responsible for creating targeted content, assets, and collateral to support the annual marketing initiatives for the promotion and development of the Kanika Hotels & Resorts’ newsletter, magazine, and press releases to meet or exceed the yearly subscription & engagement targets

§  Responsible for developing the authorized Business-to-Business (B2B) representation guidelines and specifications, including the creation of B2B content, assets, and collateral such as hotel fact sheets, images, videos, and logos

§  Responsible for creating specialized content, assets, and collateral to support the marketing team, the sales team, and the revenue team in organizing and promoting B2B and B2C consumer events, trade shows, exhibitions, and PR events

§  Assist the Marketing Manager in conducting annual brand awareness research and studies to measure the effectiveness and impact of Kanika Hotels & Resorts brand development content, assets and collateral

§  Apply data analytics, conduct in-depth market research for industry best practices and forward-looking trends to identify new areas of opportunity for future brand development initiatives in the field of content creation

§  Applies benchmarking statistics, changes in hotel guest behaviour metrics and pilot test activities to test how effective newly planned or current content is to demonstrate future success

§  Provides regular work updates and communicates progress status for the assigned work, deadlines and deliverables using the Kanika Hotels & Resorts task management system

§  Responsible for supervising all creative resources, such as graphic designers, editors, copywriters, photographers, video producers on all creative and branding initiatives to ensure message consistency across all channels

§  Works closely with the Marketing Manager to prepare annual budgets and apply budget control procedures to ensure spending is within the approved budgets

 

Skills and Qualifications

§  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, English Language, Public Relations, International Relations or related fields. MBA will be considered a plus

§  Outstanding command of the English language, including being an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style. Knowledge of another language (Russian or German) a significant plus

§  Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in digital and non-digital content creation

§  Proven experience in project management of complex projects
