Lifeguard

JOB PURPOSE

The Lifeguard will be responsible for guest safety and aid and protection to participants. He/she will make sure swimmers are following safety rules ensuring their safeness, carry out pool checks and readings, and supply all the necessary materials for the job. He/she will deliver the highest possible quality standards of work and service in the most efficient and effective manner, and will also be pro-active in maintaining and/or improving the department’s profitability in accordance with Hotel policies, procedures and standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Be aware of possible situations where guests are not able to safety participate in an activity and inform supervisor.

·        Provide assistance to injured guests until the arrival of emergency medical services.

·        Report accident, injuries and unsafe work conditions

·        Provide first aid and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation as necessary

·        Ensures that glasses or glass plates are not used in the swimming pool area

·        Maintains knowledge of facilities including equipment cleaning, checking and maintenance

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

1.   Graduate from Lyceum or secondary school.

2.   Must possess valid lifeguard license certified by local safety authorities.

3.   One year previous experience in a similar position.

4.   Must speak English very well. Knowledge of another language will be considered an advantage.

5.   Good communication skills.

6.   Very pleasant and friendly personality, reliable, polite and responsible.
