Receptionist

Thanos Hotels & Resorts are currently looking to recruit a Receptionist for Amyth of Mykonos.

 

Job Role

Responsible for attending to guests and dealing with inquiries and special requests

 

Duties & Responsibilities

·        Assists with the checking in of guests as per existing Front Office policies and regulations.

·        Answers the telephone, screens and directs calls

·        Takes and relays messages to guests correctly and promptly

·        Provides requested information to callers

·        Greets people entering the hotel

·        Directs guests or any other visitors to the correct department

·        Deals with queries from both the public and hotel guests

·        Performs general administrative and clerical support

·        Receives and sorts mail and deliveries

·        Schedules any necessary appointments

·        Ensures that Reception area is kept clean and tidy at all times

·        Notifies the porter to transfer guests’ luggage to their assigned rooms

·        Assists in guests’ check-out and knows how to settle guests’ accounts either by cash or credit card

·        Informs guests of hotel and general information regarding restaurants etc

·        Offers wake up services, orders taxi transfers as and when required.

·        Able to operate the telephone call center

·        Adhere to Hotel’s standards, policies and procedures and to have a complete understanding of the policies; including Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety

·        Ensure that duties are carried in an honest and ethical way by abiding the Hotels’ rules and regulations and the Cyprus Law

·        Perform any other relevant duties assigned by the Front Office Manager

 

Requirements

·        Previous experience as a Receptionist at a 5* Hotel

·        Excellent knowledge of English.  Knowledge of Greek or any other language will be considered as an advantage

·        Pleasant, honest and friendly personality

·        Ability to work in a fast pace environment and cope under pressure

·        Computer Literate

·        Commitment to learning & self-development

·        Promotes cooperation & commitment within a team

·        The ability to cope under pressure

·        Problem-solving ability, to resolve issues as they arise

·        Inspiring and motivating others while being caring and understanding

·        Excellent interpersonal skills in handling staff relations and/or guest complaints

·        Due to work permit restrictions, candidates must have the right to work in Cyprus
