We are seeking for a Food and Beverage Controller to join our team at Alexander the Great Hotel.

As the Food and Beverage Controller you will be responsible in effectively managing Food and Beverage costs, manage day to day operation of F&B accounting.
Your main duty would be developing, implementing, tracking and optimizing the Food and Beverage cost control initiatives across all company’s outlets. This position will oversee, analyze and lead the achievement of financial goals for all aspects of Food and Beverage purchasing inventory and income audits..

What we expect from you:

To analyze the custom menu item cost and recommend menu modification for new and current items
To understand the various elements for the calculation of the food and beverage costs
Responsible for ensuring the completion and integrity for all month and inventories for each of the Food and Beverage reports
Ensure proper receiving and transfer procedures through a controlled requisition and distribution system and enforced through proper authorization of requisitions within all facilities
To know well the procedure related to purchase order requests and delivery of invoices
To be able to prepare a detailed costing of any event/function and conclude with a cost-benefit analysis
To understand the importance of the delivery/receiving procedure at the stores from the suppliers and ensures that all procedures are being followed by both our suppliers and our team members
To know how to check food products received according to the HACCP criteria
To be able to calculate the daily food & beverage cost and is able to identify corrective actions whenever needed
To be able to perform a fixed asset stock taking and prepare the relevant reports. In addition, prepares the preliminary needs/requirements for the following year

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Hospitality Management or related field required
  • Working experience for at least 3 years in a  hospitality and Food and Beverage department
  • Teamwork orientation
  • Project Management
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Excellent  knowledge of MS Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Very good knowledge of the English and Greek languages
  • EU citizen or an EU work permit holder
