Assistant Bar Manager – Alexander the Great Beach Hotel Paphos

We are hiring an Assistant Bars Manager to maintain high service standards in our bars and lounges, helping create unforgettable guest experiences. You will support the bar team in achieving upselling targets and assist the Bar Manager in managing staffing and operating costs within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage bar operations and oversee beverage service across the hotel
• Handle stock control, including ordering and rotation
• Supervise, train, and evaluate all bar staff
• Communicate event details to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
• Focus on continuous improvement and guest satisfaction in departmental meetings
• Delegate tasks to optimize resources
• Act as duty manager during shifts when needed
• Organize staff breaks based on workflow
• Oversee bar setup for functionality and presentation
• Train staff on Bar Service Sequence

Qualifications and Experience:

• High School or Technical School Leaving Certificate (preferably from a Hospitality School)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role at a 4 or 5-star hotel
• Strong knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Skilled in upselling to maximize revenue
• Proficient in Greek and English for effective communication with guests and staff
• Familiarity with Point of Sale systems
• EU citizen or holder of an EU work permit
