On behalf of our clients, the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh, we are currently recruiting for the position of Director of Learning and Development.
Job Profile
The Role of the Director of Learning & Development Delivers workplace learning, service improvement programs, and initiatives to best achieve long-term business success; add value in meeting the hotel’s needs by identifying and implementing learning and performance improvement strategies that support the hotel’s strategic direction; promotes a continuous learning culture; partners with stakeholders to ensure employees are trained on the needed skills to successfully perform their jobs to attain service excellence.

Prime location in the heart of the capital, nestled within the iconic 99-storey Kingdom Tower. Situated at such a prestigious address, our property offers unparalleled proximity to key business areas, shopping centres, and cultural sites, 276 spacious and light-filled rooms, including 39 luxurious suites.
Food & Beverage
The hotel offers three exceptional restaurant venues, collectively offering a seating capacity of 250 guests. Our event facilities, with a mix of Ballroom and Meeting Rooms offer a remarkable 7,213 square meters (77,640 square feet) of space, making them the perfect choice for a wide range of events.
SPA and Wellness
Nestled within our establishment, our world-class spa offers an array of indulgence across 8 treatment rooms for male guests and 1 treatment room designed exclusively for female guests. This haven of rejuvenation also encompasses high end facilities and a meticulously outfitted fitness center.
Knowledge and Skills required:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a Learning & Development in a managerial capacity.
• Experience in adult education or a similar environment.
• Experience in hotel operations, preferably luxury hospitality or other service environments.
• Experience managing in diverse cultures.
• Excellent communication skills
• Facilitation skills
• Instructional design skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills (i.e., ability to identify when training is the actual solution and provide it if required)
• Coaching skills
• Influencing skills
• Adult learning styles and principles
• Needs Assessment methodologies and learning needs identification.
• Learning technologies, such as e-learning options and distance learning
• Theories and types of evaluation for measuring program financial impact, such as Kirkpatrick’s 4 levels.
• Project planning tools and processes
• Communication and influencing strategies.
• Basic budgeting, accounting, and financial management
• Current on industry trends affecting workplace learning.
• Is a skilled Learning Professional with experience in successfully managing all aspects of the learning function including needs analysis, learning planning, training delivery, training design, business partner and impact measurement
• Is a good “judge” of people, quickly understands the environment and coaches other to improve long-term outcomes.
• Can successfully develop someone without direct reporting line.
• Able to influence and ‘push back’ with challenging and varied senior stakeholders including property Planning Committee and RVP
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to identify pattern in data to make recommendations in an environment with competing demands.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably in a second
language that will provide further support based on multiple properties.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with lean resources while delivering high quality results.
• Proactive, hands on and able to operate autonomously.
