Restaurant Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervises daily shifts, assists in providing direction for all day-to-day operations, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
  • Reviews staffing levels and supports scheduling to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met.
  • Participates in the recruitment and selection procedure.
  • Trains associates on the fundamentals of service standards and strives to improve service performance.
  • Ensures associates receive ongoing training to understand guest expectations.
  • Administers the performance appraisal process for direct reports in cooperation with the Restaurant Manager.
  • Establishes guidelines so associates understand expectations and parameters.
  • Ensures compliance with all food & beverage policies, quality standards, and procedures by training, supervising, following-up, and employing hands-on management.
  • Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Hospitality related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Food and Beverage Service Industry in the same position or any similar role in the Hospitality Industry in 4- or 5-star Hotels
  • Previous experience with Marriot standards will be considered as an advantage
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of general restaurant operations, including personnel management
