Regional Sales Manager – Greece
On behalf of our clients, we are seeking a passionate, results-oriented Regional Sales Manager to lead and drive the sales strategy for our leisure and city hotels portfolio across Greece. Based in Athens, the ideal candidate will develop and manage key client relationships, maximize revenue opportunities, and ensure alignment with the company’s ambitious growth and performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the sales strategy for the Greek market, focusing on both leisure and city hotels.
- Manage and grow a strong portfolio of corporate accounts, travel agencies, tour operators, MICE business (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Events), and wholesale partners.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on market trends, competitor activities, and business performance to adjust strategies proactively.
- Work closely with the Revenue Management and Marketing teams to optimize pricing, promotions, and positioning for each hotel.
- Negotiate contracts and manage account production to ensure achievement of the annual budgets and targets for each property.
- Sales and Contracting duties apply on the GR hotels of the company. Excellent knowledge and previous of Tour Operators contracting in leisure hotels
- Lead regular sales calls, roadshows, FAM trips, and industry events to enhance brand visibility and drive revenue.
- Collaborate with hotel GMs and operational teams to ensure service delivery meets the expectations set during the sales process.
- Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, action plans, and reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Mentor and support on-property Sales and Yield team to enhance their performance and professionalism.
- Collaborate with the PR company, for creating events in all our hotels in Greece
- Participate in weekly/monthly meetings/calls with the rest of the S&M team
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in hotel sales management (regional or multi-property experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of the Greek hospitality market, particularly Athens, Thessaloniki, and key islands.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of hotel operations, revenue management principles, and online distribution.
- Fluent in Greek and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite; experience with hotel PMS is an advantage.
- Ability to travel frequently both within Greece and internationally when required.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field.
