1. To work as a team with the station head waiter in order to provide efficient and speedy service.
2. To report any complaints to the Head Waiter or Maitre d’Hotel.
3. To take orders from the guests in an efficient and professional manner.
4. To ensure a clean and smart appearance at all times.
5. To obtain a Health Certificate and keep it valid.
6. To ensure that the mis en place is completed prior to the service.
7. To bring and carry from the kitchen, place plates upon the table, help to clear the table after each course and serve drinks.
8. To have a clear understanding of the hotels fire drill.
9. To have a clear understanding for the hotel regulation and Fire and Safety Drills.
10. To have a good knowledge of all forms of food and drink and their correct service.
11. To serve food and beverages in a courteous and professional manner.
12. To have a good knowledge of the menu contents and to assist the guest in explaining dishes.
13. To help with the preparation of the banqueting for any other types of special events e.g. Gala dinner BBQ Nights etc.
14. To be responsible for all money entrusted to him/her.
15. To ensure that everything is clean in their department to keep glassware, china, cutlery, teapots etc always clean polished and shiny.
16. To carry out any other duties assigned to him by his superiors and the Management.
