Assistant Sales Manager for UK and CIS
On behalf of our clients, Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Limassol member of Marriott Hotels International we are currently recruiting for the position of Assistant Sales Manager for UK and CIS.
The Assistant Sales Manager will support the Sales department by actively driving sales and managing accounts across the Leisure, Corporate, and MICE segments, for the chosen markets . The position requires a dynamic and resourceful individual capable of increasing revenue, managing key relationships, and executing strategic sales activities. Reporting to the CCO, the Assistant Sales Manager will also assist with administrative duties, market analysis, and the implementation of promotional activities to support the hotel’s overall commercial success. Assistant sales Manager is part of the Commercial team and is expected to have strong team spirit e.g. he/she is expected to cover/assist/take over FAM trips/SITE inspections and other tasks of another team member, when needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
1.Sales & Account Management
• Actively manage and grow accounts across Leisure, Corporate, and MICE segments, UK and CIS.
• Proactively manage a set number of key accounts, prospects, and active accounts to ensure maximum yield in line with budget objectives.
• Develop and maintain call objectives and action plans for each key account and ensure timely follow-up.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities to producing accounts.
• Focus on maximizing revenue across Rooms, F&B, Conference, and Banqueting services.
• Work closely with reps as a team on achievement of common goals.
2. Market Development & Strategy Execution
• Participate in the preparation and implementation of annual Sales and Marketing plans.
• Under guidance, take responsibility for developing assigned markets and segments.
• Continuously search for new market opportunities and partnerships.
• Work closely with Marriott GSO to expand market reach.
3. Business Analysis & Reporting
• Assist senior team members with database maintenance and reporting.
• Compile competitor rate and product information.
• Conduct pricing and key account analysis.
4. Client Engagement & Event Representation
• Conduct site inspections across all segments.
• Organize and host FAM (familiarization) and educational trips.
• Attend trade events and industry fairs representing the hotel.
• Represent Parklane, Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Limassol, The Landmark Nicosia, Autograph Collection and any other group (MHV) hotel globally to promote the hotel’s brand and offerings.
• Provide strategical guidance to reps on the market with support of CCO
5. Training & Communication
• Prospect actively
• Deliver both online and live training sessions to travel agents and reservation teams.
• Ensure clear, accurate, and timely communication with internal departments (Reservations, Accounting) and external clients.
6. Contracting & Negotiation
• Negotiate and finalize contracts with new and existing partners.
• Build and sustain strong, professional relationships with industry stakeholders, emphasizing integrity and brand representation.
7. Product & Destination Expertise
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of the hotel product and destination to effectively sell and promote to diverse market segments.
• Think creatively to generate demand and enhance the visibility and appeal of the hotel.
8. Collaboration & Goal Alignment
• Work in close coordination with the CCO and Business Development Manager to achieve personal sales targets and support the hotel in reaching its overall budget and business goals.
• Results-oriented with a proactive, can-do attitude.
• High level of emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.
• Passionate about luxury hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in a hotel sales role, preferably within a 5-star or luxury environment.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages a plus.
• Strong organizational and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Marriott sales tools (CI/TY, MARSHA, etc.).
• Flexible and able to travel as required for client meetings and industry events.
